BRIEF: This school's auditorium is said to be haunted SUMMARY: The auditorium is said to be haunted. Manifestations reportedly include phantom footsteps and slamming doors. BRIEF: First headquarters of American Red Cross SUMMARY: Clara Barton (1821-1912) lived the last 15 years of her life in this large house, first built to store the supplies needed for her relief work in disasters. Constructed in 1891, it was modeled after the Johnstown Flood Relief Shelter in Pennsylvania and served as the first headquarters of the American Red Cross. BRIEF: Ghostly, underground antics. SUMMARY: These caverns are known to be haunted. Tour Guides and tourists have reported seeing spooky lights in the caverns where there should be only blackness. The lights bounce about the ceiling and walls yet retreat if someone tries to approach them. BRIEF: Wild field swings indicate much activity. SUMMARY: The people who work late at the school hear voices of ghostly spirits. The building seems to be haunted by many ghosts.
One of the ghosts in the front part of the school likes to make a thumping sound. This ghost has drained the batteries in ghost hunting equipment when groups come to investigate. The ghost followed one investigator out of the building and caused an EMF detector gauge to swing back and forth quickly before killing the battery.
The building at one time was the social security office where people came to file for death benefits. |
