BRIEF: Don't go there. SUMMARY: Abandoned and said to have no electrical power to it, Plumley still welcomes visitors with a porch light that is said to be always lit in some fashion or another. Haunted by a woman in white who was murdered by her husband, as well as a man who committed suicide in an upstairs closet, blood can still be seen in the basement by those unwitting enough to venture inside.
Previously used in several fraternity hazing rituals, one pledge died after breaking through rotted floorboards and being impaled on apparatus in the basement. BRIEF: The strange and surprisingly long-lived Goatman SUMMARY: There is a strange creature know as Goatman which has haunted the outer limits of Prince Georges County for the past several decades. This creature has haunted lonely back country roads and areas filled with dark forest. The creature haunts the area of Fletchertown Road in old Bowie, Lottsford Road in Mitchellville, Tucker Road in Clinton. BRIEF: Old angsts and criminals led to a variety of hauntings. SUMMARY: Old City Hall is located at Court Square and holds an important place in Frederick's history. Back in 1765 the citizens of Frederick gathered at the old court house that was located on this spot to protest the Stamp Act. They burned effigies of government officials who enforced the Stamp Act. All the towns people took a stand against England's Stamp Act, which was a punitive slap to Colonists anyway, which was another abominable form of "taxation without representation." BRIEF: Mary's shrieks are now the stuff of legend SUMMARY: It's said the "shrieks" from deep inside the air ducts may be attributed to Mary, an unfortunately traumatized student who was eviscerated by powerful fan blades. |
