BRIEF: Hidden treasure and a long-pacing ghost. SUMMARY: Bond Castle was built on a property granted in 1649 by Cecil Calvert to Sir John Bond. The house had a cross plan, and dated from late Seventeenth Century.
Treasure skilfully hidden in a chimney avoids detection, but the owner died, leaving a pacing ghost. BRIEF: Imagine the violence of being killed by an exploding gas refrigerator. SUMMARY: A couple moved in the basement in the 1980s. Decades before this house had belonged to a women's hospital and the basement apartment was used as an outpatient clinic for years. Someone was violently killed back in the early 20th century. The person was killed by an exploding gas refrigerator on one of the house's upper stories. BRIEF: An old house, an older haunting. SUMMARY: The Tipuhato House and estate is located in Cascade, Maryland. This home was owned by the daughter of a very wealthy banker around the turn of the century. The woman loved to entertain and hold parties and she also enjoyed the horse races. The woman loved this home and after she died she just stayed on at the house. A medical doctor bought the house in 1985 and she moved in.
Strange things started to happen after she moved. Footsteps were heard when no one was there. Objects got moved around. She had the feeling that she was being watched. The doctor investigated the history of the house and she learned that the owner had died in the bedroom. This is a room that she heard someone pacing in. BRIEF: 47 soldiers died at this farm SUMMARY: Of 47 soldiers who died at this location (out of 1,300 wounded) during the Civil War, it's said that the spirit of "Jeremy" remains, manifested mainly as odd light anomalies, glancing flashes and strange, unearthly twisted formations and refractions. |
