BRIEF: Tons of teaching in this one-room schoolhouse SUMMARY: The 1865 Seneca School House was a one-room building used in schooling the local farming community. It's located on Berryville Road.
Girls were required to sit on one side of the room and boys on the other. The school was heated by an old potbellied stove. The school got its water from a mineral spring. One teacher instructed all the classes to all the grades, aged six to sixteen years. BRIEF: An old cemetery and underground room SUMMARY: In woods near Baltimore's Loch Raven Reservoir lies an old cemetery and underground room. Nearby is the Harryman Cemetery, resting place of Sarah Gorsuch, various Harrymans and a few Merrymans.
