BRIEF: An area with a most colorful history SUMMARY: The Fells Point area was purchased by William Fell, an English land developer in 1726. Fell understood that "Fells Point" was a great area for shipping and ship building, and he knew that he could make money therein. His son, Edward Fell, divided the lots and laid out the streets in 1763. Ann Bond Fell was in charge of selling the land to people.
People claim to have seen soldiers from the Revolutionary War walking around and then vanishing in front of their faces. BRIEF: A young rape victim lingers SUMMARY: A young girl who was raped and killed near the narrow end of Bottom Rd. reportedly haunts the location, appearing quite real in a torn and bloodied dress. BRIEF: Something otherworldly on the 7th and 8th floors haunts this hotel SUMMARY: The Hotel Chamberlain is reportedly haunted by a ghostly woman. An apparition having long light brown hair has been seen in the hotel, dressed in white, and partially glowing.
A catastrophic fire burned the building. Cleanup and reconstruction workers, it's said, frequently encountered the ghostly spirit of a young girl. She was seen mostly on the 7th floor. The hotel has problems with the sounds of banging noises coming from behind walls. |
